Stranger Things, Watchmen e The Madalorian são os destaques do 72º Emmy Awards. Confira!

A Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas (ATAS) finalmente revelou seus indicados ao 72º Emmy Awards, nessa terça-feira (28), em um evento apresentado pelos atores Leslie Jones, Laverne Cox, Josh Gad e Tatiana Maslany. Entre os destaques da lista deste ano está a minissérie da HBO Watchmen que somou 26 indicações, 7 somente nas categorias principais, Regina King, Jeremy Irons e Yahya Abdul-Mateen II concorrem aos prêmios de Melhor Ator/Atriz e Melhor Ator/Atriz Coadjunvante.

Entre as comédias, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel segue como favorita, somando 20 nomeações, tendo a chance de encerrar a série com chave de ouro. Mas Schitt’s Creek promete estregar a festa da senhora Maisel nas categorias de atuação com um forte candidato nesta edição.

Já nas categorias dramáticas, Succession e Ozark ficaram empatadas com 18 indicações. A surpresa mesmo foi The Mandalorian, a série ambientada no Universo Star Wars marcou impressionantes 15 indicações.

Quem já está virando rotina é a dona Netflix que foi a grande indicada com 160 menções às suas produções, são 42 a mais do que em 2019. Não muito atrás, a HBO promete deixar a disputa bem empolgante, com 107 indicações.

A 72ª cerimônia do Emmy Awards, que será apresentada por Jimmy Kimmel, está marcada para 20 de setembro. Porém, devido ao clima de incerteza decorrente da pandemia do coronavírus, a organização considera novos formatos para este ano e não descarta uma edição totalmente virtual.
