A Academia e os críticos de cinema parecem estar bem eufóricos para esta temporada de premiações (2020-2021), é um anúncio a cada semana! Agora foi a vez dos críticos anunciarem, nesta segunda-feira (8), os indicados ao Critics Choice Awards 2021. Nas séries The Crown e Ozark lideram com seis indicações cada seguidos de Lovecraft Country com cinco. A zebra pode ser por conta da série The Mandalorian indicada em Melhor Série de Drama.

Nos filmes, o longa Mank da Netflix se destaca com 12 indicações, a produtora bateu o recorde entre os indicados com 72 nomeações entre séries e filmes, com destaque para The Crown, Destacamento Blood, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Olívia Colman pode conquistar o prêmio dobrado, um por Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante pela atuação no longa “O Pai”, outro por Melhor Atriz em Série de Drama, interpretando a rainha Elizabeth II, em The Crown. Em seu último Critics Choice Awards, Chadwick Boseman também pode faturar o bicho dobrado como Melhor Ator em Filme por Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, e Melhor Ator Coadjuvante em Destacamento Blood. Na animação o destaque é para Soul da Disney.

O Critics Choice Awards, assim como o Globo de Ouro, é uns dos principais termômetros para o Oscars Academy Awards, e será transmitido em 7 de março de 2021, pela TNT (grupo Warner Media) com comentários de Michel Arouca e Aline Diniz.
